Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights to the Event content, and all materials distributed at or in connection with the Event are owned by The Host. The maximum liability of the Host under these Terms and Conditions is limited to a refund of the Event registration fee with no additional liability for travel costs, hotel costs, or any other associated costs.

Insurance
Delegates are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance. Delegate registration fees do not provide any such insurance coverage. The Host accepts no responsibility for any loss in this regard.

Delegate Cancellation – Medical
The health and safety of Event attendees is our highest priority. The Host is mindful of the health risks posed by COVID-19, and the importance of following official medical advice with respect to social distancing, practising good hygiene and staying at home when unwell. The Host request that any delegate who is feeling unwell or has cold or flu-like symptoms, or who may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, not attend the Event. If, on medical grounds, you are unable to attend the Event, you must cancel your in-person attendance in writing by email to biennial2025@straight2.com.au. A full refund  may be provided at the discretion of the Host; however, you may be asked to provide additional details.

Technical Disruption
The Host does not take responsibility for technical issues outside of our control, i.e. internet and power outages. Where possible we will supply backup solutions to avoid any prolonged interruptions, but this cannot be guaranteed if the cause of the interruption falls outside our control. Where a technical outage/malfunction is the cause for a temporary or complete failure to broadcast the Event, content will be made available to view online at your leisure (on-demand). The Host will make every effort to communicate with registrants regarding the technical outage/malfunction via the online portal or if the platform is unable to transmit communication, an alert will be sent via email, conference app or mobile text message, and posted to the Event website.

Use of Images or Voice
By registering for the Event, you acknowledge and consent that during your attendance at the Event your image or voice may be recorded via video, photograph or by any other means (“recorded”) by an officer or official of the Event, which may be distributed or published at the discretion of the Host. If you do not wish to be recorded, you are required to formally email biennial2025@straight2.com.
